Moving to a new city can offer both incredible opportunities and also intimidating challenges. Here, we are looking to interview some folks who have moved to our little City so that we can share some of the big moments, good or bad, that I'm sure will remain part of that person for the rest of their lives.
Interview #2 - Navin Putta from India
What’s one of your favourite places in Dublin? (could be a park/bar/cafe/street etc.)
Phoenix park. This place takes me to a totally different avenue of nature in just a short distance from my residence. It's also so cool to have the biggest city park in Europe right on my doorstep! A perfect escape into nature right in the middle of the City!
What has been one of the most difficult things you’ve had to adapt to in Dublin?
Finding accommodation! Though I was able to find an apartment (fulfilling all the criteria) and a housemate. I have created 1 FB chat group and 2 WhatsApp groups (as 1 is already full) to support the folks who are struggling to find accommodation in Dublin. Here is a link to Navin's WhatsApp Group:
Is there something you know now about Dublin that you wish you knew before you came here?
Though it didn’t take much time for me to realise that having a unique and strategic approach to finding accommodation is the key, I wish I had done some background research on where I could live before I landed here.
